We're keeping community craft supplies in circulation in our small but mighty reuse cabinet! The cabinet houses variety of tools and materials for making things, all at very low prices. It’s a small cabinet and we’re a small team, so we appreciate you donating items that are in good condition and easy to use.
Rules:
We accept:
- Drawing and markmaking tools
- Small amounts of paint with sealed caps
- Brushes with intact bristles
- Knitting needles, crochet hooks, and yarn
- Embroidery supplies
- Used sketchbooks with used pages torn out
We can't accept:
- Solvents, aerosols, or toxic chemicals
- Cans of paint, or dried/leaking paint
- Bent needles, matted brushes, or broken tools
- Tangled or unlabeled loose materials
- Incomplete kits
- Most bulk items
Everything in this cabinet should be like a gift to a friend: clean, functional, and ready to use. Donations are accepted on weekdays only.
Please bring 1 bag of items at a time and a staff member will take a look with you.
By donating, you allow Acorn Craft Shop to resell your items for a low fee. If you’d prefer your items are donated to a 501c3 nonprofit,
we love Brooklyn Creative Reuse in Industry City. (Any donations that cannot fit in the cabinet or in Acorn storage will find itself there too!)
